The USAREC Social Media Guide is now online!
The new, online format of the USAREC Social Media Guide was developed to make sure the most recent version of USAREC's social media guidance is always available and easily accessible. This is a digital guide, which means that there are links embedded into the websites that will open external PDF's, videos, images, and other things that we created to help this process.
The guide is meant for both recruiters and A&PAs (advertising and public affairs specialists). Within the guide, you will see a few different symbols that indicate who each section is geared towards.

As the majority of the Army’s recruiting audience currently uses social media to network and build relationships, the Army can harness the power
of social media to share accurate perceptions regarding military service.
We can use social media to bring about a dialogue on Army life in a highly engaging, interactive and authentic way between real Soldiers and
potential recruits, their influencers and their communities.
Social Media is not a channel to continue a sales message; it is an engagement channel that allows Recruiters to build upon established
relationships with prospects, Future Soldiers and influencers. The strongest marketing tool in a recruiter's toolbox is telling their personal Army story
with conviction eyeball-to-eyeball.
Social media destinations create the opportunity to strengthen relationships, encourage participation and foster a dialogue through shared
experiences about military service and Army life. Soldiers, potential recruits, their influencers and the Army talking, connecting and sharing together allows for a more informed decision when considering a path to military service.
Social media is a means to connect with existing prospects and influencers and stay in touch with Future Soldiers. The sites can be leveraged
to promote events, publish photos and videos of previous events, congratulate local heroes and publicize new incentives. You will be able to monitor dialogue to get a pulse of the community and facilitate connections among Future Soldiers, prospects and their family and friends.
